Wx3 Writing Exercise & Inspiration – How To
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.
Step 1 – Clear your mind. Take a deep breath. Relax.
Step 2 – Open a new Word doc, or Notepad page, or grab a piece of paper & a pen.
Step 3 – Look at the picture for 60 seconds & then write whatever comes to you – dialogue, story, log line, idea, concept, emotion, senses, etc..
When you are done…
Save it and put your writing away. Let it seep, brew, stew, and simmer. Next time you need inspiration or an added boost to your current work – you’ll have a file full of these.
And, it will add to your habit of writing – boom!
This is beautiful and frightening all at the same time. Is that monster real? Is it even a monster? Does it protect her because it has to or is it preventing her from leaving?
Maybe, perhaps… she is the monster in a humanized form. Sort of like the Little Mermaid, but water dragon turned human. Is she dead? Hurt? Sleeping?
What’s going to happen when she rises? Will she wreak havoc on the world or bring peace?
What made her? Captured her?
Why is there this ominous feeling I cannot escape when I stare at the thin swirls of fabric in the clearing water?
