Well, my IndieGoGo Campaign for helping to fund the completion of the Dragonics & Runics Series is live!
In all the mess of San Diego Comic Con, I haven’t been screaming it at the top of my lungs, but I will soon, no doubt.
If you’re not familiar with IndieGoGo, it’s a crowdfunding platform that is a bit more flexible in terms of goals and funding than the equally amazing Kickstarter. I’ve had a lot of colleagues and friends do crowdfunding with a 50/50 split down the line on which platform they used. I’ve gone the IGG side, and if you’re going to be doing your own crowdfunding campaign, I invite you to do the research and feel free to contact me if you’re wanting my opinion.
The campaign is to help fund the costs for marketing Convergence: Dragonics & Runics Part III and finishing production (editing, marketing, advertising, etc.) on Book 4 and the two fan-demanded prequels.
Most of my readers are authors themselves, so they know that when you indie publish or even self-publish things can get expensive rather quickly. I’m hoping that, with the love of the D&R series, the ever-growing need for more things dragon, and the growing admiration for indie books, I’ll be able to help tap into some of that bookworm generosity.
And I don’t just mean money, folks.
Sure, the money donations are the goal of the IndieGoGo campaign.
$1 or $100 – every donation helps and there are tons of exclusive merchandise and incentives for those who do choose to donate their coffee money, in-between-the-couch-cushions money, or rainy day fund. But, for those who cannot afford to donate… every tweet, share, link, and social media blast helps.
To help with that, I’ve created some special graphics just for the Dragonics & Runics IndieGoGo Campaign.
Please feel free to download these and blast them on Facebook, Twitter, Google +, or anywhere else.
The hashtags for the campaign include: #NeedMoreDragons #DragonicsandRunics @A_Wrighton #CrowdFunding #IndieAuthor #IndieBooks
The campaign runs until September 2nd, 2014 and I can’t wait to see where the donations take me. However this adventure ends, I can promise you one thing…
